Disney Weddings offers Special Memories Collection Anniversary Package
To observe 20 years of Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings, Disney has released a new wedding option for brides on a budget. Disney’s Memories Collection is available for parties of up to six guests, including the couple, in a short ceremony of up to one hour in length. Ceremonies will take place on Saturdays and Sundays at 9 and 11 a.m., making them suitable for a weekend wedding getaway or a vow renewal.
Couples who choose the Memories Collection may be married at some of Disney’s picturesque locations just outside Magic Kingdom: Conch Key Marina or Narcoossee’s Landing at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa or at Luau Beach at Disney’s Polynesian Resort.
Disney Memories Collection includes:
- Ceremony location and an on-site Wedding Coordinator;
- A floral bridal bouquet, with brides choosing from one of five styles;
- A violinist for the ceremony and take weddings of the couple and guests afterwards;
- The services of a professional Disney Photographer for up to one hour to document the ceremony;
- Wedding portraits, which include three (3) 5"x7" prints;
- A three consecutive hour limousine charter for transportation for the couple on the wedding day or an in-room Romantic Celebration at a Disney Resort; and
- A personalized wedding website.
Couples may also add enhancements to their Memories Collection, such as ceremony décor, additional flower arrangements and bouquets, or photography and videography services.
To mark Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings anniversary, the Memories Collection will be offered for 20 months and rollback prices to $1991, and does not include a stay at a Disney Resort or theme-park admission. Disney’s Memories Collection may be booked for small destination weddings, if available, through April 2012.
Escape Wedding Collection, a Disney Wedding for Small Ceremonies
Another option for an intimate Disney Wedding is Disney’s Escape Wedding Collection, which offers a small and simple wedding ceremony for up to 20 guests including the couple.
Couples who choose the Escape Wedding Collection may be married at a variety of Walt Disney World Resort settings: BoardWalk, Yacht Club, Wilderness Lodge, and the Polynesian Resorts. Couples may also choose to be married at Disney’s Wedding Pavilion; the pavilion is modeled after a Victorian summer house and located near Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, which Foder’s Choice Gold Awards 2010 listed as one of its top ten destination wedding hotels.
Disney’s Escape Wedding Collection includes
- Ceremony location and an on-site Wedding Coordinator;
- Flowers for the bride and groom;
- A wedding cake with a champagne toast;
- A solo musician who plays during the ceremony and cake cutting;
- A four consecutive hour limousine charter for transportation for the couple on the wedding day; and
- a Disney wedding certificate.
As with other Disney weddings, couple can add enhancements to this ceremony – whether it’s something as simple as adding floral arrangements or a rose petal exit, serving food and beverage, or including more extravagant touches such as a ride in Cinderella’s coach.
For Disney’s Escape Wedding Collection a four-night stay at a Disney Resort is required, but not included in the cost of the wedding package. The prices for this Disney wedding package start at $4750 per couple for ceremonies at Disney Resorts and $5,750 for those at Disney’s Wedding Pavilion. During the 20th anniversary, some Escape Wedding Collection ceremonies are eligible for a 20% discount on or before Dec. 15, 2011.
