Walt Disney World offers the 2010 Florida Resident Weekday Select Pass, a discount annual pass that admits its holder to all four major theme parks.

Walt Disney World has introduced another discount ticket option for its Florida residents, the Florida Resident Weekday Select Pass. The annual pass is good for the major theme parks ­­– Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom – Monday through Friday.

This pass gives its holder select Annual Passholder benefits, including a subscription to the Mickey Monitor newsletter, merchandise discounts, access to special Passholder events, and occasional discounts on Disney hotel accommodations and dining.

2010 Disney Florida Weekday Select Pass Pricing and Other Fees

The Florida Resident Weekday Select is the lowest-priced ticket option that provides state residents with access to all four major theme parks. For Disney guests age 10 and older, the pass costs $187.31, including tax. For Disney guests between the ages of 3 and 9, the pass costs $167.21, including tax. Children under 3 years of age receive free admission. Renewals cost $169.34 (ages 10 and up) and $153.36 (ages 3 – 9), both including tax. These passes are also eligible for Disney's monthly payment option, available only to Florida residents.

Parking fees are not included in discounted annual passes, and currently run $14 per day.

Disney World Annual Passes – Blackout Dates, Restrictions & Proof of Residency

As with other discounted annual passes, the Florida Resident Weekday Select is subject to blackout dates in addition to its no-weekend restriction. Blackout dates usually fall during peak periods, including holidays, and the following dates have been announced so far. The pass is valid for one year.

Current blackout dates: June 12 - August 19, 2010, December 18, 2010çJanuary 1, 2011, April 16 – 28, 2011, June 11 – August 18, 2011 and December 18 – 31, 2011.

Proof of Florida residency is needed to purchase and use the pass. Acceptable forms include:

  • Florida state-issued ID card (with Florida address).
  • Florida voter’s registration card with corresponding picture ID.
  • A college ID for a Florida college or university.
  • Florida-based military ID.

Other Walt Disney World Annual Passes Available to Florida Residents

The Florida Weekday Select Pass is one of several Walt Disney World Florida resident annual passes that are available to state residents. The following briefly compares options for state residents.

  • Premium Annual Pass. This option includes access to the water parks, DisneyQuest, Disney’s Wide World of Sports, and Oak Trail Golf Course. There are no blackout dates and parking is included. $531.44, including tax (ages 10 and up) and $479.29, including tax (ages 3 – 9).
  • Annual Pass. This provides admission to all major theme parks. As with the Premium Annual Pass, there are no blackout dates and parking is included. $403.64, including tax (ages 10 and up) and $364.23, including tax (ages 3 – 9).
  • Seasonal Pass provides admission to all four major theme parks seven days a week. Blackout dates apply during peak periods. $275.84, including tax (ages 10 and up) and $249.21, including tax (ages 3 – 9).
  • Florida Resident Weekday Select Pass provides admission to all theme parks Mon.-Fri. Blackout dates apply. $185.31, including tax (ages 10 and up) and $167.21, including tax (ages 3 – 9).
  • Epcot After 4 p.m. Pass provides admission only to the Epcot theme park after 4:00 p.m. $153.36, including tax (ages 10 and up) and $138.45, including tax (ages 3 – 9).
  • Water Park Annual Passes provides all-day admission to Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. $106.45, including tax (ages 10 and up) and $85.73, including tax (ages 3 – 9).
  • Water Park After 2 p.m. provides admission to Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. $63.90, including tax (ages 10 and up) and $51.12, including tax (ages 3 – 9).

With the new weekday pass joining several Annual Pass options, trips to Walt Disney World have become even more affordable and flexible for Florida residents.
